Education, Experiences, and Training
I earned my B.A. in Psychology and my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Texas Tech University. Throughout graduate school I completed my clinical training in a variety of settings including TTU’s counseling center, an ADHD/LD assessment center, a private practice, and community mental health.
Following my PhD program I traded the plains of West Texas for the mountains of Colorado. I completed my APA-accredited doctoral internship at the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Counseling & Psychiatric Services (CAPS) where I served on the Eating Disorder Team.
After my internship I completed a postdoctoral residency at a group practice specializing in providing outpatient care to individuals working on building better relationships with food and body image.
Throughout my training I predominantly worked with college-aged and adult populations. I have ample experience working with eating disorders, anxiety, perfectionism, depression, grief, relational concerns, adjustment, other trauma-related concerns, ADHD, and athletic identity.
